Scattering of a plane wave on a model surface with steep roughnesses

Abstract

Scattering of a plane monochromatic sound wave on a model surface is considered. The surface contains small steep scatters. Reflection coefficients of the mean field and scattering cross-sections are derived for Neumann and Dirichlet boundary conditions. Validity conditions of the obtained formulas are addressed.


This is my first student paper. Its subject is not related with my following work. I never had this text in any computer format because the manuscript was prepared on a typewriter.
